Colour mixing

This morning the staff put out some trays with Popsicle molds and eye droppers for the children to explore with.

The children noticed that not all the cups had coloured water in them, and that only some of them had clear water. Using their fine motor skills and eye hand coordination they worked to suck up the colours and began to mix them.

There was lots of discussion about new colours that were made and how some of the colours changed shades.

Some of the children decided to pair up; reasoning, that with two peers they could make more colours faster.
